PSBTE 1st and 2nd semester question papers subject-wise guide

PSBTE 1st & 2nd Semester Question Papers: Subject-Wise Guide (2011–2026)

If you’re in your first year of a PSBTE diploma, your 1st and 2nd semester subjects are the same whichever branch you study, whether that’s CSE, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or any other. That makes them the most widely shared set of papers on BRpaper. This guide lists every subject in the 1st–2nd semester group, the years of papers available for each, and a simple way to use them.

Which subjects are in PSBTE 1st & 2nd semester?

BRpaper groups the first-year papers for all branches into one place: 15 subjects, with papers from 2011 to 2026. Each subject below links to its paper page, and the years show which sessions are currently available.

Paper availability grows as students upload, so some subjects have fewer sessions than others. Newer subjects such as Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering and Applied Mechanics only have recent papers.

How to use these papers

  1. Start with the subject you find hardest. Open its page and pick the most recent session first.
  2. Solve one paper under time. Set a timer for the real exam duration and don’t look at notes.
  3. Check your answers against the solution when one is available, and note which units you missed.
  4. Go back one year at a time. Older papers are good for practising the question style. Newer ones show what the board is asking now.
  5. Revisit weak units and repeat with a different session.

Subject-by-subject tips

  • Physics and Chemistry: Papers from 2011 onwards are available, so you can compare older and newer question styles. Newer sessions use “Applied Physics” labels (AP1, AP2), so check both when you search.
  • Applied Mathematics-1 and 2: Practise numericals from several sessions. Maths is easiest to improve with repetition.
  • English & Communication Skills: Go through the letter, application and comprehension formats in past papers, and note how answers are structured.
  • BEE and Basic Electronics: Pair circuit questions with your class notes and work through each step.
  • Engineering Drawing: Use past papers to practise layouts and time, not just to read questions.
  • Newer subjects (CFIT, ES, EC, FEE, Applied Mechanics): Fewer papers exist, so use the syllabus and your teacher’s notes alongside them.

Is this the official PSBTE site?

No. BRpaper is not an official board website. It collects papers to help students prepare. Always check your syllabus, exam dates and results with PSBTE and your institute.
