One of the major problems facing the world today is the growing number of refugees. Some say developed nations should tackle this problem by taking more refugees.

A section of society asserts that the burden of refugees should be shouldered by wealthy nations because supporting the refugees is comparatively easier for the developed nations than that of developing ones. Therefore, I agree with the statement that wealthy nations should provide shelter to refugees to curb this global problem.
I believe that displaced persons should never be seen as a liability on their budget by financially strong nations. As, on humanitarian grounds, it becomes a social responsibility of such fortunate countries to extend help to the escapees of war or natural calamities. Also, certain developed countries have a separate budget for relief funds which can be used for aiding asylum seekers in terms of food and shelter facilities. Moreover, the developed countries like the US, Canada, or the UK have enough resources and umpteen number of unoccupied regions which can be allotted to refugees. Therefore, these nations can easily accommodate and entertain the migrants permanently.
Furthermore, the empowerment of refugees would be a win-win formula both for the country, as well as, the people who take refuge. This is because they can contribute to the country’s economy through their skills or profession to some or large extent. Many of them could be doctors, engineers, or other professionals which is undoubtedly a great advantage for the country which offers help to these refugees. On the other hand, homeless people can get a place to live and an occupation to support their living.
In conclusion, I strongly support the idea that rich countries should offer help to homeless people in every possible way. This can curb the unprecedented growth of refugees throughout the world.
