Well, I am fond of travelling and often enjoy long journeys. I love to look out of the windows and enjoy the scenic beauty along the journey. However today, I would like to talk about a short trip that I take regularly but do not like it. I live in Ludhiana and has recently opted for a diploma course in Chandigarh University. The university is situated far from my home and I usually take public bus to travel there. It takes me around one and a half hour every day for one side travel.
Although, I could stay in hostel but my parents cannot afford such expenses. That’s why I have to travel for such long hours daily. Although it is this short trip is crucial for me but I do not like this trip. First of all, I have to wake up early in the morning to get ready and catch the bus. Sometimes I have to wait for the bus and this makes me feel irritated. And after a hectic day at university and long travel, I reach at home in the late evenings which spares me with no time for myself.
Also, the buses to this region are usually overcrowded and sometimes I do not even get the seat which causes inconvenience to me. These buses stop at certain points to wait for the passengers which often result in me being late for the lectures. Moreover, the route to university is under construction which causes me to get stuck in the traffic which makes the journey worse. I used to enjoy the journeys as I could listen to the music using my headphones or by reading some books but this seems to be impossible while travelling in a public bus due to loud noises and crowd. This trip makes me so restless that I only look forward to the weekends as I do not require to travel during these days.
But I am so relieved that my course would be over in coming two months and then, I would not have to take this trip.
