Well, every animal is a beautiful creation of nature and is unique because of its beauty and scientific value. Wild animals are the ones that are unsuitable for domestication and are generally, found in forests. But these are very beneficial as they contribute a significant part in maintaining the ecological balance of nature and the food chain. I remember the time when I was in high school and visited my maternal aunt during the summer break. She lives in Chandigarh and one day, she made a plan to take me along with my cousins to a Zoological Park. This park is famous with the name of Chhatbir Zoo and is situated in the outer area of Chandigarh. The zoo is the home for a variety of birds, animals and reptiles. I was very excited about this short trip as I had never visited a zoo before and had never got any chance to enjoy the experience of seeing wild animals so closely. Though I saw different animals and reptiles such as lion, deer, Asian elephants, zebra, crocodiles, etcetera. But it was the white Bengal tigress which I liked the most. It is a carnivorous animal that feeds on flesh.

They are the predators which hunt herbivorous animals such as goats and deer. They hunt their prey by ambushing and attacking them with surprise. I was amazed by the exotic and magnificent look of the tiger. It had stripes on the body and weighed around 550 pounds. It was walking like a king in front of its den and I also got the chance to see its two cubs which were around three months old. I saw how caring it was to its cubs as it fed them and played with them. White tigers are known to symbolize strength and courage and this was evident from their fierce look. I cherished this trip and developed a fondness for wild animals. But it is quite sad and worrisome that tigers and other wild animals are becoming endangered due to loss of habitat and undesired climatic change. We need to preserve these species otherwise the whole ecology will suffer. So, this was the wild animal that I saw closely.
