Reading is one of the best and most useful habits one can have.
Hence, I love reading and spend almost 1-2 hours everyday on reading different books, magazines, articles, newspapers, etc making me a bookworm.
It not only alleviates my stress but also upgrades my knowledge on various subjects.
Sometimes, I surf the internet too once in a while to know more about current affairs.
On that note, I came across an article in a health magazine about the various health benefits resulting from practicing Yoga regularly.
The title of the article read “ Yoga: A way of Life ”, which seemed very fascinating and readable.
I was actually drawing parallels between sedentary lifestyle and the resultant rise in obesity among the millennial population.
At the same time, it also threw light on how Yoga is the best solution to this new age problem.
So, being a person struggling with weight issues who practices Yoga daily, I got curious as to what more I can do or how I can improve my present techniques?
And I must say, I wasn’t disappointed at all. The article had some very useful exercises and postures that I could practice in daily life to resolve my obesity issues.
Moreover, it included some very healthy homemade formulations and medicines which will help keep me hale and hearty in the long run by improving my stamina.
So, I cut that article and have kept the clipping with me.
I read it every now and then to motivate myself to work harder and focus more on my health.
Implementing the things given in the article have led to a lot of positive effects on my physical health as I have lost 5kgs in a month.
Moreover, since I started following exercises and homemade remedies, I feel more fit not only physically but also menatlly.
As a result, I have also shared this article with some of my friends and family members.

1. Why do different people like to read different magazines?

I think it’s because of their interest. As there are magazines which cater to specific populations interested in specific areas of interest. For instance, sports, entertainment, architecture, politics, current affairs, etc.

2. What kind of magazines do teenagers like to read?

Nowadays, teenagers have a keen interest in sports, technology, health and other related subjects. Fashion and entertainment magazines are also immensely popular with the younger generations.

3. What’s the difference between news on TV and news in magazines?

The major difference is the occurrence of the events which are reported in them. Magazines print news which are mostly a week or fortnight old. On the other hand, TVs telecast the most recent events and are more current. Another major difference is that TV news channels tend to dramatise the news more as opposed to magazines and print media.

4. Do people like to read news from the Internet?

As younger people are well versed with technology, they often prefer to read news online. With the advent of different apps and e-newspapers the task has become even more easy and comfortable for them. However, the older generation still prefer print media or television for news updates.

5. Do people still buy magazines in your country?

I think, yes. People do buy magazines related to their profession catering to a particular topic. For instance, architects buy architectural magazines and homemakers buy women’s magazines like Sarita.

6. Do you think people today are healthier than those in the past?

I think, no. These days the lifestyle and the environment have really taken a toll on humans. Plus, the pollution makes it worse. People as young as 25 or 30 are struggling with diseases like hypertension, blood pressure, etc. In addition, the poor air and water quality doesn’t help either.
