Music is the soul of life. It helps one to feel relaxed, change the mood and add life and energy to any celebration. Different kinds of music can be listened to according to one’s mood. I am also quite fond of listening to music but here I will talk about a time when I attended an event in which i did not like the music that was being played.

It was the occasion of my classmate cum friend’s birthday when I was in Ahmedabad for my nursing’s internship back in 2012. We went to a restaurant named Delizio, which was near Anand Nagar Road in Satellite. We had heard a lot about that restaurant so we decided to go there. Without a doubt it was a spectacular place to be at and their special delicacies like Mexican Hot Pot and Sin by Chocolate Cake were scrumptious.

However, the music played there was not a suitable one to be played in a restaurant. They played extremely loud Gujarati music because coincidently it was the first day of Navratri that day and it is quite a popular festival for the Gujjus. Actually, I prefer soft and calming music being played at such places but that was completely the opposite. Those were the songs with excessively loud beats and neither were very melodious. Moreover, we could not understand the lyrics of the songs so they all seemed very monotonous. We went there to spend some good time but had an unexpected experience. It was so loud and disturbing that we could not even hear or listen to each other across the table. It totally spoiled the ambience of the beautiful restaurant. They should have chosen such songs that were relevant enough to be played in at an eatery. I literally got a headache within half an hour. We finished the two special dishes and our drinks that we had ordered there and immediately left the premises after paying the bill. We went to another food joint nearby called ‘Havmor’ which was quite popular then in Gujarat but now can also be seen commonly in North India.
