Home/Accommodation

  1. Do you live in a house or flat? Or What kind of housing/accommodation do you live in?

Well, I live in a house. We have been living there for the last 25 years. It’s an independent house constructed in an area of 250 square feet. It’s a double storeyed building with a friendly neighbourhood around.

  1. Can you describe it a little?

My house has a double storey building. There is a small garden in the front with a porch to park the cars and other vehicles. There is a kitchen garden and store room at the back. There is a spacious and modular kitchen downstairs attached to our living room. There are two bedrooms downstairs having joint washrooms. Upstairs, there are 3 more bedrooms and 2 washrooms. The house is well-lit and ventilated.

  1. What’s your favorite room in your home?

My favourite room in the house is my bedroom. It is my comfort zone where I spend my most of the time. Its walls are painted in olive green colour and the roof has a down ceiling painted in white colour fitted with beautiful lights. It has all the amenities like Air conditioner, A huge LED TV, a large cupboard, a comfortable bed and a recliner. It also has an attached washroom.

  1. What have you done to your room to make it look nice?

Well, last year in winters I got my room painted and I got all the wood work done by selecting the best designs for the cupboard and bed back. Also, I got a TV cabinet made which made my room look completely different, organised and elegant.

  1. Who do you live with?

I live with my mother and father. It’s just the three of us. I have one brother who lives in Canada with his wife and kids.

  1. Which room does your family spend most of the time in?

We spend most of the time in our living room. We sit there together in our free time and watch TV. Sometimes we have discussions and talks on different matters and at the other times we have casual conversations there. We also have our meals there mostly.

  1. How long have you lived there?

As mentioned earlier I have been living there for over 25 years. I was born and brought up in that house only.

  1. Do you plan to live there a long time?

Well, the future is uncertain so I cannot say anything about it firmly. Although my parents intend to continue living there, I plan to move to the suburbs.

  1. What do you usually do in your house/flat/room?

Well, I do many things at my home like relaxing, cleaning, cooking, watching television and spending quality time with my family.

  1. Are the transport facilities to your home very good?

Yes, my house has easy accessibility to all kinds of transport facilities like cabs, autos at the doorstep and also the bus stop is a five-minute walk from our place.

  1. Do you plan to move?

Well, yes, I plan to move to a suburban area as I have mentioned earlier because the place where we live is a concrete jungle now and thus it is affected badly by air and noise pollution.

  1. Would you like to move to another place to live? (Why/why not?)

As I have mentioned earlier, the residential area where we live is getting affected by air and noise pollution day by day so I would like to move to a greener and more peaceful place with my parents.

  1. Are you prepared to move?

We are planning to move in the next 2-3 years so we have not made any preparations yet. But we keep discussing things related to it every few days.
