In this competitive era, education is an inevitable aspect of the lives of individuals. It is believed by many that folks acquiring knowledge in their mother tongue can get finer academic grades. This essay is in agreement with the idea of imparting mother tongue education and will provide supporting ideas in the forthcoming stanzas.

To commence with, there are many benefits associated with an education that takes into account children’s native language. First of all, it prevents delay in the learning process as children can learn efficiently and fast in a language of which they already have an understanding. Also, they feel at home while they are at school and tend to enjoy school more. Their self-esteem increases as they make fewer mistakes while attending lessons or taking tests as they are well-versed with their own language which also makes them score better marks.

To continue, parents can also help their wards with homework and other given tasks or assignments. This will not only increase their participation in children’s education but will also reduce the additional costs they have to bear for arranging extra classes or tuition for their offspring because many parents do not know other languages. Moreover, it reduces the requirement of repetition of lessons by teachers leading to improved school’s performance. However, the only drawback of this method of attaining education is that it reduces the wards’ chances of enjoying higher socioeconomic status as being multilingual enables them to work in Multinational companies.

To sum up, if a person desires to pursue a career in their own locality or nation and thereby only have to deal and communicate with local clients, it’s good to study subjects in their own language as it eases all the aspects of the study.
