Dear Sir,

My name is XYZ and I am from Ludhiana. I recently applied for a course in your cookery school. I am writing to inform you that I will not be able to start the course.

I applied for pursuing a 6-month diploma in Indian and Continental cuisines for which the classes began last month. I wanted to enhance my knowledge in the field and become able to cook a variety of dishes with utmost perfection.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue with the course as I am working full-time as an Assistant professor at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College. As the final term exams are starting next week, I’d be extremely busy with several duties such as conducting preparation sessions for students, vigilance in the examination hall and checking answer sheets. I believe this is not the right time to continue the course as neither I will be able to come regularly nor I will be able to focus or practice the recipes at home. My work timings are going to be from 9 am to 5 pm from next week for one month.

However, I am very keen on pursuing this course some time later, therefore I was hoping if you could kindly extend and adjust my pending classes in the next session. I do not want to miss the opportunity to learn cooking at your esteemed institution under the guidance of veterans. I would be thankful to you for your cooperation in this matter.

Looking forward to a positive response.

Yours sincerely,

XYZ
