population, water population and their control
SECTION C Unit-IV: Engineering Aspect
Load predictions, peak load, base load, load factor, plant factor, capacity factor etc. operation and economics of power
stations. Losses in energy generation, transmission and distribution, energy storage and conservation techniques,
reliability analysis energy system, energy audit and economics.
SECTION D Unit-V: Instrumentation
Measurement of pressure, flow temperature and humidity, concept of automatic control, power & frequency control,
voltage & reactive power control. Microprocessor applications in power systems.
