When you register for a BRpaper account, we collect your name, username, email address, and password. Your profile may also include phone number, city, date of birth, course, and a profile photo if you choose to add them.

If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive the basic profile information those services share with us (such as your name and email address) to create or access your account.

If you upload question papers, answers, or other study material, we collect the content you upload along with information about the upload, such as the subject, university, and course it relates to.

We collect information when you register for an account, sign in with a third-party account (Google or Facebook), upload or download content, contact us for support, or otherwise interact with the site. We also collect site usage information automatically through cookies and analytics tools, described below.

We may use the information we collect in the following ways:

• To create and maintain your account, and to let you upload, save, or download question papers and study material.
• To personalize your experience, such as showing content relevant to your university or course.
• To communicate with you about your account, uploads, or in response to a support request.
• To send occasional platform updates or notices, which you can opt out of at any time.
• To understand aggregate site usage and improve BRpaper, using analytics tools described in the Cookies section below.
• To process uploaded question papers using AI-assisted tools (for example, to extract questions or generate answers), as described in the "How we use third-party services" section below.

We do not collect or store payment card information, since BRpaper does not process payments. Uploaded files and account data are stored with our hosting and storage providers, and we use regular malware scanning on the site. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Yes. We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. We also use third-party cookies from services such as Google Analytics (site usage) and Google AdSense (advertising), described further below.

When you first visit BRpaper, you will see a cookie banner where you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time, and you can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you turn cookies off, some features of the site may not work as expected.

We do not sell or trade your personal information to outside parties for their own marketing purposes. We do share information with service providers who help us operate BRpaper - for example, hosting and file storage, analytics, advertising, and AI-assisted content processing - as described in the "How we use third-party services" section below. These providers are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us.

BRpaper uses the following third-party services to operate the site:

• Google Analytics - to understand aggregate site traffic and usage.
• Google AdSense - to show advertising that helps keep BRpaper free to use.
• Google Sign-In and Facebook Login - as optional ways to create an account or sign in.
• Cloudflare - to store uploaded files (such as question papers and profile images).
• OpenAI - to process uploaded question papers with AI-assisted tools, such as extracting questions or generating answers.
• Email and messaging tools - to send account-related or occasional platform emails.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf.

Google's advertising requirements can be summed up by Google's Advertising Principles, which are put in place to provide a positive experience for users.

We use Google AdSense advertising and Google Analytics on our website. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads and measure site usage. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on visits to our site and other sites on the internet.

Our site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals.

COPPA puts parents in control of what personal information is collected from children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not specifically market to children under the age of 13.

BRpaper primarily serves students in India, and we process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Where the DPDP Act applies, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete personal data
• Withdraw consent for processing that relies on your consent
• Request erasure of your personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements
• Register a grievance regarding how your personal data is handled

The Fair Information Practice Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States and have influenced data protection laws globally.

In line with Fair Information Practices, if a data breach occurs that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users by email:

We also support the Individual Redress Principle, which means you have the right to pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law, including recourse to courts or relevant government agencies.

The CAN-SPAM Act sets rules for commercial email, gives recipients the right to stop receiving emails, and outlines penalties for violations.
