In our day-to-day life we visit many places for various purposes. Sometimes we use our own vehicle and sometimes we use public transport. Normally when I have to go somewhere nearby, I use my car or scooter but for extremely distant places I mostly use public transport. Here I am going to talk about a visit for which I used public transport. Actually, this year in the month of February, I went to Jaipur and Rajasthan with my family. We used a Volvo bus service for going there which is a five-star deluxe bus service and is most suitable for long distance journeys. There is a tour operator company near my hometown known as Star Tours & Travels and my father booked this tour through them as he knows them well. It was a 7 nights and 8 days tour on which we were going to visit and stay at Jaipur for 4 days, Sambhar lake, Bhangarh Fort and Sariska National Park. There were 10 more families with us on board. We boarded the bus at 7 am on 22nd of February. On the way we enjoyed a lot as we listened to music, danced and had a lot of conversations. I made many friends and we played dumb charades and many other games. The bus made three halts on the way to Jaipur. We stretched our legs and had refreshments at those stops. The bus was an AC coach and was very comfortable. There was also an LED TV in the bus and we saw many nice movies. We reached Jaipur at 7 pm and stayed at Palm Hotel which was a very nice 3-star hotel. We saw the Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, The City Palace and many other places. We had one whole day reserved for shopping. My mother bought some Jaipuri quilts and I bought some traditional Rajasthani jewellery and handicrafts. I bought some souvenirs for my friends. As it was a package holiday, all the arrangements were made by the tour company. I still have good friends from that trip and we are in touch with each other through Instagram and Facebook. So far, it is the most memorable journey that I have had via public transport.
