A friend of yours is thinking of going on a camping holiday for the first time this summer. He/She has asked for your advice.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

  • Explain why you think your friend would enjoy a camping holiday
  • Describe some possible disadvantages
  • Say whether you would like to go camping with your friend this summer

Dear ABC,

I hope you are doing well. I am so glad to receive your letter and find out that finally, you are fulfilling one of your long-lasting wishes to go for camping with your friends.

I am sure you will have a memorable and thrilling experience because camping in the wilderness is way more tranquil as well as exciting rather than merely living in hotels at busy tourist spots that are flooded with hundreds of people. You will feel the real essence of nature and will get to see a diverse variety of flora and fauna as you are already a nature lover. Also, I’d suggest that if you are visiting Jim Corbett, you must visit Dhikala forest Lodge as it is the best place to camp for adventure seekers.

However, as I have already gone for camping twice so I would like to warn you of some possible hassles you may have to face. Bugs are a big botheration so I would advise you to carry an insect repellent spray as well as a mosquito repellent ointment. Also carry enough ready to cook meals, snacks and beverages along as there may be a shortage of food at that place.

I would also like to accompany you as you are going to Jim Corbett National Park, that’s my dream destination for camping which I have been yearning to visit. I have taken 10 days off from work during summers and I would like to spend that time with you, that will be like killing two birds with one stone for me!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

XYZ
