Describe a crowded place you have visited

  • Where is it
  • When you went there
  • With whom you went there
  • And explain how you felt about being there?

Well, I mostly avoid going to crowded places as it feels suffocating and I usually like to visit places with fewer people. Here I will talk about a time when I visited a place crowded with people.

On my last birthday, in September 2019, I went to Mussoorie with my husband. We went there for a day to celebrate my birthday in tranquility and to get away from the busy routine. On our way, we were daydreaming about the peace and quiet of Mussoorie as well as its picturesque and natural landscapes. After about a 7-hour drive we finally arrived at Mussoorie and the hotel we had booked was at the outskirts of Mussoorie named Courtyard Marriott. We checked in and got fresh, after taking coffee and putting our luggage in the room we finally drove to the Mall Road, Mussoorie. After parking the car in the parking area we walked towards the Mall Road. When we arrived there, we were shocked to see the multitude roaming helter-skelter. We were expecting very few people there as August to November is considered as off season in Mussoorie. There were hundreds of people walking around as well as all the food stalls, restaurants and cafeterias were flooded with visitors. We could find no place which had no people. It did not at all feel like that we were at a hill station. It was extremely foggy that day and no landscapes were visible. All we could see were people suddenly appearing out of the fog in huge numbers. It was a strange and dreamy kind of day. After spending around an hour on Mall Road, we just left for our hotel to enjoy some peace as thankfully we chose a location away from the hustle and bustle of the central area of Mussoorie. We just sat at the sundeck and enjoyed some drinks. Also we were wondering and discussing why the hill station had received such a large number of tourists in the off season. So this was a time when I visited a place which was surprisingly full of people.
