Honestly, risk plays a paramount role in every person’s life because not only it increases the confidence level but also motivates a person to do something new and challenging. I also experienced a situation when I helped a child by taking a full-fledged risk.

It happened about a year ago. I went to Delhi with my family to visit places like Red fort, Qutub Minar and India gate, we chose to travel by train. The weather was quite pleasant, and we all enjoyed it very much by playing some games and eating some snacks which were prepared by my mother for the journey. All of a sudden, I heard some noise, and I asked people about what had happened upon which one person told me that one child’s arm was stuck in the train’s gate. I told it to my family and also informed them that no one was ready to help that child. But my cousin was willing to support me in helping him. I immediately rushed towards the train’s door with my cousin.

When we arrived there, the child was crying in pain and requested us to release him. I asked my brother to pull the chain to stop the train but unluckily the chain there did not work. It was so risky to help someone in the moving train. Upon asking the child, he told us that he was accompanied by his uncle on the train who was gone to the washroom in some other compartment and thus he was scared to his grave because his arm was hurting as well as he could not see his uncle around. But we did not give up and tried our best. Firstly, I gave some water to the child to calm him down and then decided to move his arm very carefully because if I had hurried, the child might have got severely injured. It took us around 8-10 minutes to release the child’s arm from the train’s door. But we successfully did it, and released the child without causing any injury. Although, till the end we were fearful that we might end up fracturing his arm, but it all ended well and the child hugged and thanked us. Meanwhile, his uncle also arrived and the boy narrated the whole incident to him. The man thanked us for taking the risk and rescuing his nephew.
