Well, exhibitions can be a great platform to showcase the works of the artists. Since childhood, I have a keen interest in all kinds of art forms such as visual arts, graphic arts, and decorative arts. I often attend art shows and exhibitions which held in my hometown.

But today I would like to share my experience of an art exhibition that I attended last year. It held at Maharaja Regency which is a five-star hotel and resort in my city. I came to know about this art show through the newspaper and attended the same with my friends. The most unique factor about this exhibition that caught my attention was that the displayed art pieces were not the work of some famous artists. Rather, the displayed work of art belonged to the amateur artists who are running small businesses related to it or are pursuing art careers as their passion. It was a new concept as the exhibition aimed at promoting new and innovative talent. There was a minimal entrance fee to visit that exhibition and the money collected from this was supposed to go to an NGO which provides vocational courses to the needy ones.

At the exhibition, I and my friends were amazed to see the work of the new creators. The hall was quite spacious and was divided into small booths to display different art forms. Each section was managed and presented by the painter himself. The creators were not only humble but were also keen to make people learn about the techniques used in the art forms. One section displayed the canvas paintings which were available in distinct sizes. The other section exhibited the pottery and ceramic products such as flower pots, mugs, decorative vases, etcetera. These were available at a reasonable price and offered good worth for household use. Another section was dedicated to the visual arts such as carved and molded sculptures and statues. Although every section had something unique to display but one counter grabbed our attention the most. At this counter, the artist was a young girl of around twenty years and she was making live portraits of the people. We were so impressed by her work that we got our group poster made from her.

Overall, it was an incredible experience and we enjoyed that exhibition to a great extent.
