Yes, I think it is important to learn a foreign language such as English as it proves to be useful while travelling to foreign lands. Also, it enhances one’s personality.
- How is it helpful to you to speak a foreign language?
Knowing a foreign language has proved to be very helpful for me as I can attend foreign webinars and learn about the new things. Also, it will give me an edge over other candidates when I apply for any training or job.
- What is the most difficult part of learning a foreign language for you?
For me the most difficult part of learning a foreign language is mastering the foreign accent while speaking and pronunciation of some words.
- What is the best way to memorize new words?
I think the best way to memorize new words is to make flash cards with their meanings and to go through these cards randomly and regularly to make ourselves familiar with such words. Also, using the words in daily routine helps in remembering new words.
- Is it better to learn a new word from translation or by definition?
I think the better way to learn a new word is by going through its definition as it will help in understanding the meaning and usage of the word whereas translation might not be able to make the meaning of the words clear and thus, it would be difficult to learn and use such words.
- Why don’t some people know the language of the society they live in?
I think people who have migrated from some other state or country find it difficult to know the language of the society they live in. Also, some people become rigid towards speaking their native language and thus, refuse to learn the new language.
- What do you think of children learning a foreign language?
I think that it is the best age to learn a foreign language as the mind of a child is in a growing stage and more acceptive of the new things. Also, by starting to learn a new language at such an age would enable them to master it effectively.
- Why are some language classes boring?
I think some language classes can be boring if the teacher’s focus is entirely on making the students learn the language rather than making them understand it. Classes focused on cramming something tend to be boring.
- Some students hate to learn foreign languages, what can teachers do to develop their interest?
Teachers can make use of the visual aids such as movies or web series to develop the interest of the students in the language. They can also play educational games to make classes more interesting.
- Some people travel to learn a foreign language, what do you think?
I think travelling to foreign lands helps us to learn many things such as new cultures, exploring new places, meeting different people, however, I don’t feel that by travelling to new places one can learn a foreign language. Rather it would be advisable to have knowledge of the required foreign language before travelling so that it could help in communicating with the people while travelling.

According to me, the best way to learn a foreign language is to take professional classes of the same and practice the language. One can strengthen his learning by watching movies, web series and listening to songs in the foreign language.

Some people can learn languages fast white others learn slowly as it depends on their interest in the learning and their intellectual capabilities.
- Does one’s age affect their language learning?
Yes, age surely affects one’s language learning as it is easy for a younger person to comprehend and accept the linguistic changes as compared to the older ones. Also, younger people are more receptive towards learning new things and are less conservative.
