The role a government plays in the social status and personal financial strength of its citizens is a topic that is often debated. I argue that although a country’s government does impact levels of unemployment and homelessness, these problems are most heavily influenced by external factors. This will be shown by looking at the influence international economic developments and changing cultural climates have on countries and their people.

Volunteerism is the practice of providing service without monetary compensation. I argue that adolescents should be required to engage in volunteer community work in their free time. The advantages this arrangement brings to both teenagers and the communities they come from will be shown in this essay.

Recently, movements have been made the world over/around the earth to relocate factories and industrial companies out of small towns and into more rural areas. It is felt that on the whole this strategy hinders/brings with it more advantages than disadvantages. The subjects of public health and child labour will be analyzed to prove this thesis true.
