I love exploring new places as I am addicted to travelling. I get this strong urge to travel to different places in and outside my country after every few months. Here I will talk about a new public place that I’d like to visit in 2021. Its name is Bluewaters Island.
Bluewaters Island is an artificial island 500 metres off the Jumeirah Beach Residence coastline, near Dubai Marina, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
It is a man-made island which includes entertainment, hospitality, residential, and retail zones, and is forecast to attract more than three million visitors annually. With a dedicated driverless transport system, people don’t need a car to live on the island. The island features two five-star hotels, one of which is the second-ever branch of the famous Caesars Palace hotel, which has my favourite chef Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant named Hell’s Kitchen in it.
It is just a short walk along a bridge from The Beach on JBR. It has direct beach access. Bluewaters also has around 200 beverage and retail and food outlets in the ground level of residential buildings and entertainment sections of the island. The total number of residential buildings on the island is 10. Each of these is considered mid-rise and features 15 storeys or fewer.
Moreover, the world’s tallest ferris wheel, ‘Dubai eye’ also known as Ain Dubai is situated on this island. The wheel is able to carry up to 1,400 passengers, in its 48 capsules, and provide views of Dubai Marina and landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah, and Burj Khalifa. Its base serves as an entertainment zone, and an 80-metre LED screen is mounted on the wheel creating an electronic platform for broadcasting, advertisements, and other information.
Although I have been to UAE and Dubai particularly a couple of times, I am looking forward to visiting there in February 2021 with my husband again just to see this marvellous new creation. I want to visit this place because Dubai is my favourite tourist destination and every time we visit it, it has something new to offer. I am quite excited to take a ride in Dubai Eye and enjoy viewing the city of wonders from it.
