Talk about a prize you want to win
- What prize it is?
- How do you know about it?
- What will you do to win it?
- Why do you want to win?
I have always believed in working hard and not bothering about the outcomes. But it would indeed be a lie if I said that I do not actually care about prizes. Here I will talk about a prize that I most ardently want to win in the future.
In my city, the local community conducts a dance competition every year in the month of February. They award three prizes to motivate the participants and I’d love to win one of the prizes from this competition. The winner is awarded with a prize money of Rs 21,000 and is also given a free 3-day holiday package to Manali for two people with all expenses paid. The first and second runner ups are given Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively with a free entry ticket to Hardy’s world.
I have been aspiring to take part in this competition for a long time because 18 years and over people are only allowed to take part. I came to know about this competition through our local newspaper when I was in ninth grade. I have been practicing for this contest ever since. I have joined a dance academy in my city this month to take proper training from a professional who is also one of the judges of this competition. Earlier I used to dance for an hour every day for 5 days a week at home and learnt many steps by watching various videos and tutorials over the internet. Now I am attending a 2-hour class in the academy from Friday to Sunday. I have learnt several new and complex dance moves within a few weeks of joining. I always get appreciated by my trainer and she says I am a quick learner.
I will try to win the first prize in this competition because my cousins have challenged me for it and also I want to test my calibre in the field of dance. Moreover, it would be a great experience to perform and win some prize at the city level. Also the prize money involved is a good amount and I’d definitely be able to do something useful with it.
