The first provided tabular chart describes the final outcome of a study which examined 100,000 individuals inquiring if they travelled overseas as well as the purpose of their visits from 1994-1998, a period of 5 years. The second table gives information about the places they visited in the same period.

Overall, the main reason given for travelling internationally was holidaying followed by business and visits to kith and kin. Moreover, Western Europe remained the most visited destination and maximum travellers were recorded in the year 1998.

In 1994, 15,246 people from a sample of 100,000 were enjoying holiday overseas, after a brief decline in 1995 the number of holidaymakers rose to about 17,896 in 1996 and by the end of the given time bracket it further soared to a figure of 20,700. Moreover, travelling for business also increased moderately with time. In the initial year, 3,155 people from a section of 100,000 travelled for business, the number steadily kept inclining and reached at 3,957 in the end of the given time period. Furthermore, people travelling overseas to meet friends or relatives and for other reasons were recorded 2,689 and 982 respectively in 1994. However, a mild downfall was witnessed in the figure of travellers of both the categories in 1995, afterwards which grew constantly and became 3181 and 990 in 1998 orderly.

Probing further, there was a significant surge in the amount of people visiting the destinations with passage of years. The area which appears to be the most popular was Western Europe as 19,371 of the sample preferred to spend their holiday there in 1994 and the number slowly went up by 5148 and reached 24,519 in 1998. North America and other areas also appeared favourable. In 1996, 1,167 went to North America and 1,905 visited the other areas. These numbers increased to 1,823 and 2,486 by the end of the given years orderly. Overall analysis proves that the number of travellers kept escalating with the passage of years in all the given areas as well as categories.
