Dear Sir,
My name is XYZ and I am from Phillaur, Punjab. I am writing this letter to draw your attention towards the hassles caused by the reduction in the train service in my area.
Phillaur is a small town between Ludhiana and Jalandhar. Many people commute daily to Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar for their work from Phillaur and I also am one of them. The organisation I work for is based in Ludhiana. The timings of Swarna Shatabdi and Golden Temple Express were suitable for all the commuters from my city to these three places.
But recently, the halting of both these trains in Phillaur has been cancelled and the trains just pass by without having a stop at Phillaur. This has created a lot of problems for all the daily commuters of my city. Although the buses to these areas are very frequent, it is incomparable with the convenience and comfort of the train services.
I humbly request you to please restart the train service to this area. Many people are suffering because of this unpleasant change. The time of the stoppage of the trains could however be reduced from 5 minutes to 2-3 minutes. That would be enough time for people to board and get off from the trains.
