Dear Sir,
My name is XYZ and I am a full-time caretaker at Red Cross Orphanage. I am writing to request you to allow me to attend a short course that can be extremely useful for my job.
I want to pursue a one-week CPR and BLS training course (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and Basic Life Support). I think this course can be extremely useful as while working at the orphanage, it’s extremely important for me to know how to deal with any emergency medical situations.
I want to learn how to revive a patient as CPR is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating. They can happen to anybody, it’s indeed a useful procedure because immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest. I thoroughly want to learn the four elements of Basic Life Support which are early access, early CPR, early defibrillation and early advanced cardiac life support.
I want to pursue this course in the Shalby hospital that is in the neighbourhood of our workplace. It’s a one-hour session daily and it will just take me 1 week to complete it. I request you to grant me a leave from 9am to 10:30 am for the next week from Monday to Friday as the timing for the session given in the hospital is 9:15am to 10:15 am. I believe that it will be helpful for me to upgrade my skills as well as it’ll enable me to cope with any unfortunate situation at work. I shall be grateful to you if you would allow me to go for this course.
Looking forward to a positive response.
Regards,
XYZ
