Dear Sir,
My name is Cathrine Jose and currently, I am doing a diploma in archaeology in SIM Global Education.
I live in the Sunrise Apartments at Bencoolen lane located right behind the ‘Images of Singapore’ museum. I am writing in response to the advertisement that was published by you in Singapore Times 2 days ago regarding the vacancy for volunteer work in the museum.
I am willing to take this job as it’s relevant to the course I am studying. As it was mentioned that there are two vacancies, I would like to take the one in which audio-visual presentation is to be given to the visitors regarding the history of international trade. Actually I need to do unpaid work at a reputed historical museum as it’s a part of my internship.
I have a vast knowledge that is required for the position and this job would help me to learn more about the glorious history of shipping and other forms of trade of this country as I am an emigrated student from India. Moreover, I have good communication skills so I am capable enough to engage into conversations with international tourists. I can thoroughly and effectively explain them about the trade history of Singapore as I am well-versed with English, French, Hindi and Malay.
I am ready to join from Monday as I am only studying at the weekdays and not working anywhere else. I only have 3-hour classes from Monday to Thursday starting at 9 am to 12 pm. I am available for the rest of the time to work with your esteemed museum. I would be grateful if you would give me this much-valued opportunity.
Looking forward to a positive revert.
Regards,
Cathrine Jose
