Well, I hail from Ludhiana city which is the business hub for hosieries and cycle parts. It is also known as the Manchester of Punjab. I have been living here since my birth and there are ample options to visit and spend leisure time such as shopping malls, forts, temples, etcetera. But my favourite part of the city is Rakh Bagh which is a famous park in the city. During my childhood, I used to visit this park with my parents every weekend. I remember that I used to love this park at that time as it had lush green gardens and a car ride. We used to enjoy our picnics over there. And after some years the park became unattractive to the visitors due to poor maintenance and we started to skip going there. However, this has recently been renovated by the government as it is a wonderful tourist attraction. I came to know about its restoration through newspaper and decided to visit there last year. Since then, I have hardly skipped any day of visitation to the garden. I was impressed with the changes made to the park. Almost 70% area of the garden is covered with trees, plants and gardens. New rides have been installed especially for the enjoyment of the children. The park has separate walking and cycling lanes. I visit there with my brother every morning to do some exercises and to refresh my mind. I practice yoga on weekdays and on weekends, our friends also join us there and we play outdoor sports like badminton and cricket. I love spending time there as it makes me feel close to nature and helps to escape the hustle and bustle of the city in a peaceful environment. Now it has become a favourite spot for children, joggers and walkers.
