Follow up questions on children behaviour

  1. What bad behaviour do children usually have?

Children usually act silly in public places, they rigidly demand from the parents to buy them things when they go shopping with their parents. Children are usually seen crying and shouting at public places.

  1. How should parents stop their children from behaving badly in public?

Well, parents can reward their children if they behave well in public and in case if they fail to do so they can give mild punishments to their wards, such as not allowing them to watch TV or play video games as well as prohibiting them from going out and playing with their friends and not giving them any treats or snacks to eat for some days to teach them a lesson. However, they should not be scolded using harsh words and neither should they be abused physically.

  1. Are parents these days stricter than in the past?

No, I don’t think so because earlier parents were stricter and conservative and did not give much freedom to their children. Also giving physical punishment was more acceptable but nowadays due to the impact of modernisation and western culture parents have become more friendly and easy going with their kids.

  1. Whose influence on children is more? Parents or their Friends?

I think friends have more influence on children nowadays because they share the same likes and dislikes and have a similar way of thinking and perspective. Young ones usually imitate and look up to their peers.
