Some psychologists think that the best way to overcome the stress of everyday life is to spend a portion of the day doing absolutely nothing.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Experts around the world have been trying to figure out various methods to counter stress on a daily basis. Some believe that simply doing nothing at all can be beneficial to unburden and relax the mind. I partially agree and believe that although its beneficial sometimes to leave everything and give the mind a break, however, on the contrary, being systematic and exercising can help counter stress too.
Being free with nothing to do can prove to be beneficial to beat stress in many ways. Firstly, it gives the ever going brain a big break from the constant dealing with hectic lifestyle whole day round. Secondly, it can also help one understand the meaning of letting go and not trying to keep everything in one’s control. Meditation, for example, helps in understanding the absolute need of being still and in the moment too. This has brought clarity as well as peace of mind to many. Even Prime Ministers of many countries have said that meditation helps them keep calm. However, the other side of the coin is equally important to maintain sanity and remain stress-free.
Considering the contrary, it is of utmost importance to understand the reasons for stress. It is the chaos in our daily life which is the biggest reason for stressful encounters. Some people encounter panic attacks on a daily basis too. Thus, it becomes extremely important to understand the root cause of stress. Managing daily routine with discipline helps a lot. A planner is another option to choose from. Along with this, for some, exercising in gym or running can also help generate endorphins, also known as the happy hormones.
Thus, to conclude, it is equally important to maintain a well-planned lifestyle to beat stress in the long run, rather than take short breaks of doing nothing. Introspection of self does help; however, actions should also match the outcomes in order to bring overall happiness.
