Dear John,
I am fine and I hope you are also doing well. I am writing to inform you that I am leaving the team for a while and won’t be coming over for practice sessions after college hours.
Actually, as you already know, our house is undergoing renovation as it’s my sister’s wedding on the 2nd of November, therefore I will not be able to come till the 5th November for practice. Till now my father was handling all the responsibilities related to marriage preparations by himself but he’s having to go England for a fortnight regarding some business meet and even when he comes back the wedding date would approach nearer and we have so much to do.
You know how passionate I am for the game and I understand being the goalkeeper of our team that my position in the team is irreplaceable. This game has given me name and fame and I will never stop playing football whatever it takes. You know I have hardly missed any practice session till date since we have become part of the college football team.
I realise that we have an inter-college competition at state level in the mid of December. I assure you I’ll be back in the first week of November and will leave no stone unturned to be in shape for the upcoming tournament. Winning that competition really means a lot to me as we have a record of not losing a single match till now. I hope you will understand my situation.
I will send you all an invitation soon to attend my sister’s wedding. Looking forward to meeting you.
