Dear sir,
My name is XYZ and I have been appointed to work as your personal assistant from next month onward. I regret to inform you that I will not be able to join the committed date.
I was extremely excited, to begin with, the work as it has always been my dream to work and be associated with TATA motors but I feel terrible to inform you that my grandmother was admitted to the hospital yesterday because she has a chronic lung disease and as there is only a week to my joining, I would presently not be able to resume work due to this sudden problem.
Actually my father is a police officer and he is extremely busy nowadays and my mother takes care of the household responsibilities as well as my brother who is younger than me. Therefore, I’ll have to accompany my grandmother until she remains hospitalised. She is going to be kept under observation for around 8 more days because she is undergoing surgery tomorrow.
However, I am really keen to work with your esteemed organisation. I make sure I will start my work after a fortnight because by that time my grandmother will be back home and we will arrange a caretaker for her.
I hope you will understand my situation and give a favourable response.
Regards,
XYZ
