You have seen an advertisement from a couple, who live in Australia, for someone to teach their two children your language for a year.
Write a letter to the couple. In your letter
- Explain why you think you would be suitable for the job
- Say what else you could do for the family
- Give your reasons for wanting the job
Dear Sir,
My name is Catherine Jose and I am from Punjab, India. This is in response to the advertisement you posted in the Australian job bank mentioning that you require a language trainer to tutor Punjabi to your children.
I am Master of Philosophy in Punjabi and I have 4-year experience of teaching Punjabi in a reputed School in Ludhiana, Punjab. I am competent enough for the job and possess a great patience level to handle young children. I am skilled at providing a personalised environment to students as I believe that every student learns differently. I constantly take feedback from the pupils and keep asking them for any doubts and queries.
Apart from that, I can also assist in babysitting your children as I have studied a 6-month course for caregiving. As you have mentioned in the advert that you both are working, I can take care of your children as well as teach them in your absence. I am seeking a full-time job from 9 am to 5 pm during which I will provide a 2 hour Language class to your children. I can also run errands if the occasion calls for it.
I am eager to take this job as my brother is living in Melbourne, Australia and my parents also recently went to live with him. I want to unite with family as I am the only one left in India. Moreover, my brother lives in the area where you reside so it will be convenient for me in terms of accommodation as well as commuting as he can drop me at your place on his way to work. Also, I am really keen to uptake this job as I love tutoring young children and hence I don’t want to miss this valuable opportunity.
Looking forward to a prompt and positive revert.
Yours sincerely,
XYZ
