You recently attended a meeting at a hotel. When you returned home, you found you had left something important at the hotel.
Write a letter to the manager of the hotel. In your letter
- Say where you think you left the thing
- Explain why it is so important
- Tell the manager what you want him/her to do
Dear Sir,
My name is XYZ and I attended a meeting at Radisson Blu which was organised for all the employees and staff of ‘Amnesty International’. I am writing to bring into your notice an important belonging which I forgot at your hotel during the meeting.
The meeting was held two days ago in Banquet hall number 3. When the meeting ended at 3pm, we all left for lunch at your restaurant. Due to the hustle and bustle I too hurriedly started gathering my belongings. In haste I forgot one of my files at the table. I was seated near the entrance near the podium.
It’s an extremely important file because it contains many of the official papers regarding my ongoing project and tasks in the firm. I need them urgently as I have to complete and present the project to my boss next Monday. The deadline is approaching so I require my file as soon as possible.
I would be grateful if you could find my file and courier it to me at my office’s address. You can also give me a call and I will tell my Uncle who lives in Jalandhar to collect it from you and he will courier it to me. I am attaching the address and phone number along with. I shall be grateful to you for your efforts in this matter.
Looking forward to a positive and quick response.
Regards,
XYZ
