Some people think that the teenage years are the happiest times of most people’s lives. Others think that adult life brings more happiness, in spite of greater responsibilities.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It has been always discussed that which stage of human life is more rewarding. Some people opine that children live the most cheerful life, whereas its counterparts argue that adulthood years are more joyful. I will discuss both sides in forthcoming paragraphs before presenting my personal viewpoint.

On the one hand, advocates of prior opinion contend that teenagers live a stress-free life, which is a key attribute behind the Happy life. This is primarily due to the amount of time they allocate to their favourite sport which makes them feel delighted, and this amount of time spent in sports centre

Since the 18th century technological advances have replaced people in the workplace. With today’s technology this process is happening at a greater rate. Technology is increasingly responsible for unemployment.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

In this contemporary era, emergence of technological pieces has successfully overtaken the work being done by manual workers in many firms. Many opine that this change in trend is highly responsible for rising unemployment. I partly agree with this opinion because although deployment of machines is replacing lower pay scale workers like labouring jobs in many workshops but it is not responsible for the unemployment of skilled workers. I will discuss how instalment of machines and other major factors are responsible for unemployment in below paragraphs.

Looking at the unemployment due to machines, many firms are reliant on advanced technology like automated machines for producing goods in lesser time without compromising quality.

Many people choose to work or live abroad because of the higher standards of living they can find outside their home country. Do you think this brings more advantages or disadvantages to the people who follow this path?

Many people choose to work or live abroad because of the higher standards of living they can find outside their home country. Do you think this brings more advantages or disadvantages to the people who follow this path?

Often in today’s world, people are attracted to countries that can offer them increased opportunities and higher standards of living. Although this may drain talent within the country being emigrated from, I feel this phenomenon brings with it more advantages than disadvantages to the individuals who choose this lifestyle. This will be proven by looking at the issues of health care and education.

To start, people coming from countries with underdeveloped health care systems may be able to increase their longevity by moving abroad. For example, average life expectancy in Mainland China is roughly a decade lower than that found in neighbouring Japan.

There is a general increase in anti-social behaviours and lack of respect for others. What
are the causes and solutions?

The widespread problem of anti-social behaviours and disrespectful attitudes towards others has long been a major topic of concern in society. Some of the major culprits of this problem will be discussed before the most important solutions are drawn.

Reasons for this alarming situation vary. In some cases, people may hold an anti-social attitude or disrespect others because they live in an environment where violence and discrimination are the norms. For example, children of sexist parents in rural families in Vietnam, irrespective of their gender, show a worrying tendency of disrespecting women.

Too much emphasis is placed on going university for academic study. People should be encouraged to do vocational training, because there is a lack of qualified tradespeople such as electricians or plumbers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It goes without saying that society always needs a skilled workforce to function. Employees of different professions contribute differently to the thriving of the community, and therefore I disagree with the statement that vocational courses should be given any more weight than before.

The fact that many people deem it more important to take tertiary education than a vocational training program has resulted in a shortage of qualified workers. It is universally accepted that knowledge and qualifications gained from the university can help one to have a head start over other candidates when it comes to job hunting.

Do you feel artists like writers, musicians and painters still have value in modern society? Discuss

The role artists play in modern society is an often debated topic. On the one hand, many people see art and culture as critical components to a society’s image and sense of identity. Others, however, feel that the significance of a society’s arts is overrated in the modern world. This essay will analyze both sides of this argument.

From one perspective, many people believe strongly in the value that artists bring to a society. For example, Bob Marley was a musician whose work helped to shape the modern cultural image of Jamaica and bring attention to global problems.

It is expected that in the future old people are going to outnumber young people in many countries. Do you feel this is a positive or negative development?

In many parts of the world, the ratio of older people to younger people is swelling. Although an ageing population does pose a few benefits, I argue that this trend is more negative than positive in nature. This will be shown by looking at how a large elderly populace strains a society’s public health resources and deters a country’s younger members from having children of their own.
