Follow up questions of cue card:  Describe something or someone that made a lot of noise

  1. Where can people hear a lot of noise?

Well, people can hear a lot of noise at public places like markets, bus stands, railway stations and also at other places like near railway tracks, on busy roads , near airports , discos, in industrial areas as well as in other public offices.

  1. What may happen when someone listens to very loud music using headphones when they are running or hiking?

Well , when people listen to extremely loud music using headphones while they are running or hiking  may lead to fatal accidents and they might meet with an accident as they can not hear any sound or voice around them . Also, listening to loud music for a long time while doing any other activity alongwith may end up giving one a headache. However, on the brighter side , loud music gives one energy and cheers the mood to run or hike with full energy and enthusiasm.

 

  1. What can be done to reduce traffic noise?

There are several things that can be done to curb this problem. First of all, people should be strictly prohibited from blowing pressure horns and to use vehicles producing a lot of noise which occurs when people use vehicles that do not undergo maintenance from time to time. Moreover, people should only blow horns when needed.

 

  1. Do you think the world will be noisier in the future?

No, I don’t believe so. I mean, we’re constantly making things less noisy, even things like washing machines and other domestic appliances are now being designed to be quieter and less intrusive. Moreover, introduction of electric or solar cars and other vehicles will reduce the traffic noise to a great extent.
