The increasing pressures of today’s money driven world can often cause people to gravitate toward material items. But personal happiness can never be achieved through such things as work, success and wealth. Although these things may be nice ‘extras’, it is argued that healthy relationships with family, friends and colleagues are the true secrets to personal happiness. This will be shown be analyzing the often lonely lives of many wealthy celebrities as well as the advice of older people who speak from experience.
Problem and Solution
Some countries make it illegal to work past the age of 65. Do you think people should be forced to retire at a certain age?
Opinions regarding what constitutes a healthy retirement age seem to vary from one country to another. This is manifest in nations with laws, or lack thereof, that stipulate the age when a person is required to end their professional life. I feel compulsory retirement should not be legally enforced upon anyone except those working in positions where age could pose a significant safety risk to themselves or others. The following paragraphs will illustrate the merits of this position.
Do you feel the money governments spend to protect the environment would be better used elsewhere?
Do you feel the money governments spend to protect the environment would be better used elsewhere? Governments allover the world typically allocate a portion of their spending to preserving the environment of their respective countries. There are reasons to support and refute this practice. Using examples from my country, I will discuss both positions before declaring a personal stance. Firstly, government-funded protection of a country’s environment is beneficial for many reasons. For example, in my country, the Canadian government has…

is happening? And how can we solve this problem?
Food wastage has now become a big problem in many parts of the world. There are several factors that are attributable to this situation, and solutions need to be adopted to combat the issue.
Primarily, people have become wealthier than before. Increased personal wealth means that individuals no longer appreciate food, and they tend to throw food away after eating rather than storing it in the fridge for the next meal. Fresh vegetables, meat and fish at the supermarket are now sold at an affordable price for middle-class people, so many of them are willing to discard the food as soon as they satiate their hungry stomach.

creative things?
There has been a worrying trend that children watch an excessive amount of television and do not engage much in active or creative activities. This trend can be ascribed to a number of reasons and it must be addressed by definite actions.
Reasons for the trend vary. The primary reason is that children’s television programmes are being broadcast all day with addictive contents, such as vivid and colourful animations. Cartoon Network and Disney Channel with their all-day-long series of animation shows are an evident example of this.

In the globalisation process, a variety of organisations run on an international scale. However, I believe that these firms should not forget to place more of an emphasis on contributing to the development of the local societies where they are located in several aspects. The first responsibility that the multinational companies should take is to preserve the local environment.

Today, the labour market is becoming more competitive than ever before, with increasing competition between candidates of different age groups. This has led to a number of problems that need to be tackled, as will now be explained.
Firstly, there might be an increase in the rate of unemployment among young job seekers. Compared to the young, older candidates often possess a rich source of experience and thus have an obvious advantage when it comes to the recruitment process.

Nowadays, pollution and waste levels are increasing rapidly. How does this affect ordinary people? What steps can be taken to overcome this problem?
Pollution levels around the world have been increasing at exponential rates. I argue that this trend affects the physical health of ordinary people and the future of the natural resources these people need to survive. To combat these issues, the solutions of government intervention and conscientious product buying will be analyzed for viability in this essay.
Firstly, to address the physical health problems people experience as a result of high pollution levels, it is argued that governments should work towards educating people about the role they play in the well-being of the natural world. For example, the Emirates used to have the highest rate of garbage production per capita on the globe. But after initiating a compulsory education program in all high schools across the country, this rubbish to person ratio

These days, many jobs require people travel and this is disrupting many families. What effects do travelling parents have on their children?
With globalisation and a common business culture encroaching among/on every corner of the world, work-related travel is becoming increasingly prevalent. Although this may be positive for international economies, the effect this trend has on parent-child relationships is questionable. I argue that parents who/whom spend excessive amounts of time away from home negatively influence the development of their children. This will be shown by looking amid/at the need children have for both a stable household structure and regular interaction with a positive adult role model.
For one, disruption upon/of a nuclear family’s household structure can have devastating effects on a child’s educational pursuits. For example, a recent American study revealed that children living with single parents were 30% less likely to enrol in/into university than children living within traditional two-parent homes.

There is a general increase in anti-social behaviours and lack of respect for others. What
are the causes and solutions?
The widespread problem of anti-social behaviours and disrespectful attitudes towards others has long been a major topic of concern in society. Some of the major culprits of this problem will be discussed before the most important solutions are drawn.
Reasons for this alarming situation vary. In some cases, people may hold an anti-social attitude or disrespect others because they live in an environment where violence and discrimination are the norms. For example, children of sexist parents in rural families in Vietnam, irrespective of their gender, show a worrying tendency of disrespecting women.
